Pivott Connect supports corporate leaders through 1:1 personalised mentoring, while providing startup leaders with the opportunity to lend their expertise and help grow the ecosystem. The commitment is minimal, we're talking about a launch event and a coffee every three weeks across a six-month period.

We are carefully curating a group of Mentors who are startup veterans, have extensive startup and scale-up industry expertise and have previously made the transition from a corporate role.

HOW LONG IS THE PROGRAM?

The program runs for six months

IS THERE A SET TIMELINE OF ACTIVITIES FOR THE PROGRAM?

There are structured milestones for the program, however, we encourage you to meet a minimum of once per month. Key milestones and a recommended schedule are below:

Key Milestones:

  1. Selection: Selected Mentors and Mentees will be sent a confirmation email along with a profile completion form. This form will enable us to create the most meaningful connections.
  2. Shortlist: A curated shortlist of Mentors will be provided to Mentees.
  3. Kick-off event: This will be an opportunity for all Mentors and Mentees to meet.
  4. Mentees will have the opportunity to submit their top three Mentor preferences from the shortlist.
  5. Matching: Post-event, you will be sent the details of your match based on your profiles and preferences. Introductions will be made and contact details will be provided via email.
  6. Check-in Event: An in-person event will be held midway through the program to allows participants of the program to network with each other, hear from guest speakers, and check in.
  7. Closing Ceremony: We will officially close the Pivott Connect program with a celebratory event.


Recommended schedule:

Month 1: Meet your Mentor/Mentee and set up ongoing coffee catch-ups.

Month 2: Coffee catch up with your Mentee.

Month 3: Check-in event.

Month 4: Coffee catch up with your Mentee.

Month 5: Coffee catch up with your Mentee.

Month 6: Final catch up with your Mentee and a closing ceremony.

HOW OFTEN DO YOU MEET WITH YOUR MENTEE?

We recommend that you meet up at least once a month, however, this is something you can determine once you have met your match.

HOW DO I GET MATCHED?

We will be taking into account Mentee preferences but also ensure our Mentor/Mentee matches are going to result in the best outcome for both parties.

  1. Mentors and Mentees will complete a profile. 
  2. Mentees will be provided with a shortlist of Mentors prior to the event. 
  3. Mentors and Mentees meet at a kick-off event. 
  4. Mentees submit top three Mentor preferences. 
  5. Our expert team will take into account these preferences and each individual's strengths and desired outcomes to make the most meaningful matches. 
  6. Mentors and Mentees will be provided with these matches and connect to start the program.


HOW MUCH TIME DO I HAVE TO COMMIT TO BEING A MENTOR?

The commitment is minimal. We're talking about a launch event, a midway check-in event, a closing ceremony, and a coffee every month across the six-month program.
